Bikers ride to end scourge of youth sex trafficking

Oct. 29, the motorcycle ride, From Trauma to Triumph, started at Salty Senorita in Peoria and 90 minutes later, ended at Westgate Entertainment District. The purpose of the ride was to raise money for StreetLight USA, an organization that gets minors – kids under 18 – out of prostitution into a safe house, and hopefully, out of the whole trade.
StreetLight USA founder Larrie Fraley and a group of friends started the organization in 2008.
“It was designed to eradicate sex slavery in our town for kids under 18 years old,” Fraley said.
He does not have an average day. He has been one of the lead pastors at Christ’s Church of the Valley in Peoria since 1998. The church is not small; it has seven campuses spread across the Valley and is going to 10 next year.
While Fraley was still on staff at CCV, he stepped away from the church for a few months to get StreetLight up and running.
