Our Trucker Against Trafficking highlight for the #sTATe of the week,#Montana, is Matt Hopkins!
Matt is an owner operator who has done some really cool things to help raise money for and recognition of TAT!
Recently Matt climbed Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina and put together an initiative called “From Miles to Mountains.” Matt ran out of time to fully summit Aconcagua but his efforts went very far in raising awareness for TAT and provided us with some really great funds!
When we asked Matt why he is a TAT he said, “I’m a Trucker Against Trafficking for the sake of being a small fraction of the fighting force against what I think is one of the most horrid crimes out there. There are many organizations out there raising awareness about this growing problem in our country, and TAT focuses on the professional drivers that may see some of these terrible occurrences and teaches them how easy it is to make that phone call and possibly save a life! I will continue to support TAT throughout the next million miles I go and the thousands of vertical feet I climb.”
Thank you so much, Matt, for all your hard work! The feet you climb and the miles you drive make a big difference and we are proud to have you on board!
