Mississippi man convicted with rape, human trafficking in Jefferson Parish

A Jefferson Parish jury Sunday(Dec. 11) night convicted a Mississippi man on rape and human trafficking charges after forcing a Florida woman into prostitution in Jefferson Parish. Willard "KB" Anthony, 30, was found guilty of eight criminal charges, including second-degree battery, aggravated battery and sexual battery.

Authorities said Anthony, of Madison, Miss., was one of two pimps who met the victim at a Florida hotel in 2015. Police said Anthony and Pierre "Bruh'' Braddy, 27, of Jackson, Miss., drugged and brought her to the New Orleans area.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said they discovered the crimes last year during a prostitution sting at a Harvey motel. Arrest reports said she was found beaten with a pistol and a chair after her captors caught her trying to escape with one of her customers. Her right eye was blue and swollen shut.
