Wichita man sentenced to 15 years for sex trafficking

 

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -
A Wichita man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for sex trafficking convictions, one involving a 17-year-old girl.

Gerald L. Brown, Jr., 30, pleaded guilty last October to one count of sex trafficking of a minor and one count of sex trafficking of an adult by force. He admitted that in June of 2015 he recruited a 17-year-old girl to engage in sex acts advertised on an adult website, U.S. Attorney Tom Beall said..

Brown transported the teen from Kansas to Oklahoma and Texas to engage in prostitution. In July of 2015 he and the girl were stopped for a traffic violation and the girl was taken into state custody.
