Going the Extra Mile---CAST

Going the Extra Mile

Troy Schwartzkopf has been in trucking/logistics for over twenty years. He is currently the sales manager for CAST Transportation, and one of the nicest guys in the industry. He and CAST happily support TAT by *Going the Extra Mile in a multitude of ways. Not only does the Freedom Drivers Project rest up in their private and secure lot in between gigs, but they also provide a CAST driver and tractor to escort the TAT exhibit trailer to functions across Colorado, and, at times, even across state lines. These donated hauls and driver volunteer hours have saved TAT thousands of dollars and resulted in hundreds becoming more aware of domestic sex trafficking and the impact the trucking industry is making in combating it. CAST also provides TAT with expert industry advice on a variety of matters, connects us with other local industry professionals and provides essential equipment and maintenance support for the Freedom Drivers Project. We owe them our continual thanks!

TAT: Hi Troy, let’s start out by letting our readers get to know you a little better. What’s your favorite food?

Troy: Hard to pick just one: BBQ, pizza and tacos.

TAT: Hobbies?

Troy: Motorcycles, all kinds of sports and hiking.

TAT: What’s your favorite band or sports team?

Troy: Listening to a lot of Christian music and Blues lately. ‘Toby Mac’ and ‘Nathanial Rateliff and the Nightsweats’.  All Colorado teams. Love my Broncos!

TAT: How did you first find out about TAT, and why do you feel it is important to support or promote TAT?

Troy: I was introduced to TAT at the church I attend called Wellspring by a presentation from Kendis Paris. I was touched by my own ‘unawareness’ of the scale of this problem. I feel it is VERY important that more people are aware and have an opportunity to help stop this madness.

TAT: What is something new you have learned in the last year regarding human trafficking?

Troy: The incredible impact the profession trucker network can have in fighting this battle. This is new to me, and I am thankful to have the resources to make any bit of a difference.

TAT: Last question….how would you complete this sentence? I want to live in a world where…

Troy: I want to live in a world where everyone loves Jesus and walks in His ways!

*Going the Extra Mile is dedicated to highlighting those individuals and companies who go above and beyond in their support of the TAT mission. To all the TAT Champions out there, we are grateful!
