Truckers Against Trafficking has partnered up with the Kansas Motor Carriers Association and the State of Kansas to combat human trafficking in Kansas.
“They are in places where most of us are not,” said Esther Goetsch, coalition build specialist, Truckers Against Trafficking. “They may be seeing thing and able to report it to law enforcement while the crime is happening.”
Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt announced the partnership Thursday at the Capital Plaza Hotel. He says the program is to build relationships between law enforcement and truckers.
