Our Trucker Against Trafficking highlights for the #sTATe of the week,#Connecticut, are Robert Billings and Colette Damuth! They are a husband and wife team who run all 48 of the contiguous states and have three children and 5 grandchildren.
Collette told us, “Even before we knew of TAT, I was always looking out for your children and teens who might be lost or alone wandering around the truck stops. There have been many times I ‘saved’ a young person by simply asking the right questions. If I didn’t immediately connect them with their guardian or parent, I never hesitated to alert the truck stop manager, security, or police. That one little gesture has saved quite a few youngsters and returned them safely. Don’t be afraid to get involved when something doesn’t look quite right. NOBODY wants their child to become a victim of human trafficking.”
Thank so much Colette and Robert for looking out for those who might be in trouble! We are so thankful to have you both as TATs!
