A 27-year-old convicted felon is behind bars, accused of forcing his girlfriend into prostitution and then repeatedly beating her when she tried to stop working as a prostitute.
Hoover police Tuesday night announced the arrest of Condorius Sanchez Williams. The Adamsville man was taken into custody Monday after a two-month investigation, and is suspected of possibly being involved in the promotion of prostitution in other cities, including Birmingham and Montgomery.
The investigation began July 25 when Hoover officers responded to the Embassy Suites Hotel on John Hawkins Parkway on a report of a domestic violence assault, said Lt. Keith Czeskleba. The victim told police she was physically assaulted by her boyfriend – Williams – who was forcing her to work as a prostitute.
