Sex trafficking case heads for grand jury

Human trafficking charges against two men accused of forcing a Bowling Green woman to perform sex acts for money will be heard by a grand jury.

Shaon Le'Kendrion Matthews, 21, and Patrick Barry Boston, 27, appeared Wednesday in Warren Circuit Court for a preliminary hearing. Both men were arrested Oct. 25 on charges of human trafficking following an investigation by the Bowling Green Police Department.

Matthews has a Kentucky driver's license with a Paducah address, while Boston has a California driver's license but had been employed in Bowling Green at the time of his arrest.

BGPD Detective Jason Franks testified Wednesday that city police had received an anonymous complaint that a woman staying at the Greenwood Motel was being held there against her will and "pimped out."
