Renowned Queens music teacher busted on sex trafficking charges

The founder of a Queens music school used a pimp to find sex partners as young as 8 — about the age of his own daughter — agreeing on one occasion to drop his prey off at Chuck E. Cheese to fool their parents, authorities said.

Oliver Sohngen, 52, who owns the Long Island City Academy of Music, was busted by federal agents at his Queens home on Tuesday morning.

Sohngen, a married father of two, was charged with conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, sex trafficking of minors, attempted sex trafficking of minors and attempted inducement of minors to engage in sexual activity. He is being held without bail after a court appearance and could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted.
